I use SuperMemo 17. I was succesful with installing phonetic registry.
I have now the registries, but when I mark an word in an Item and press Alt+y I do not get the phonetic of this word.
As you can see in the gif- animation at the end. I press Alt+y. Nothing happens:

Phonetic transcription shows up only in the display mode (i.e. not when you are editing). In case you needed to include phonetic transcription in your edited texts, you can use Copy : Copy transcription on the component menu of the text component.

Thank you, I was successful with Alt+y now. (As you can see in the new gif-Animation)
But your hint with Copy : Copy transcription seems not to work. Neither in "display mode" nor in "editing mode" as you can see in the gif-animation. Nothing happens

Your animation is a bit puzzling because it does not show any test on the content of the clipboard. When you Copy transcription in the display mode (first operation, correct), you do not paste the outcome from the clipboard. This option works correctly (at least in newer SuperMemos)
