Question

Tristan asked: What is the best way to submit suggestions for the improvement of SuperMemo?

Answer

  1. Start from Suggestions. Check if your idea has been suggested and if so, add your own details or improvements
  2. If your idea is original, create your own case by editing Your Suggestions page
  3. If you see no feedback, see if your idea is not too complex, make edits to improve formulation, Recent changes are the main input to processing.
  4. If you still get no feedback, check the documentation, or use E-mail to get in touch. Submit your suggestion. Use bug@ or help@ addresses were appropriate. Sending mutiple e-mails does not help as they all get routed anyway. Sending mail again after 2-3 weeks may help in case of non-delivery or in case of slow processing (due to large mail volume or due to your suggestion's complexity)

Merging messages

If you submit multiple suggestions, create separate case for each. Enhance the suggestion with your reasoning. If you submit by mail, you can conglomerate suggestions. At some point, they are likely to be split into tasks, some of which may end up at SuperMemopedia. If you create no SuperMemopedia case, you are less likely to garner feedback with support for your idea.
