- Error accessing file: I/O error 103
Answer
I/O error 103 indicates problem with reading SuperMemo files (in this case a SuperMemo registry files).
Examples of errors that can be generated are countless. This is because SuperMemo cannot function without the ability to access its files.
- Error viewing KNO file data
- Error reading from a text file
- Error reading file (e.g. HTML files)
- Error scanning registry redirections
- Cannot remove member user 25234 from position 35403
- Cannot read data for element #62
- Cannot open registry files
- Error accessing file
The most frequent reasons for this problem:
- indexing services (e.g. MSN Desktop) accessing and locking files
- anti-virus software locking the files used by SuperMemo during virus scans
- missing read/write priviledges (e.g. in Vista you may need to set Properties of the shortcut to Run as Administrator)
