Question

This video shows how to extract portions of PDF as pictures. How can I use those extracts for active recall?

Answer #1

The simplest approach is to use summaries in text (in HTML on the left) and employ incremental reading. Pictures can be set as answers with component menu. For more advanced learning, you can employ occlusion tests.

Answer #2

For information dense research papers, you might consider taking snapshots of individual PDF pages (e.g. Edit : Take a snapshot in Adobe Reader, Tools : SnapShot in Foxit Reader, etc.), and saving them as images for OCR processing using online OCR software (e.g. Free Online OCR)
