Community-building: revive interest in shared collections

The Anki community is vibrant in part due to their deck-sharing page.

This Wiki has a page for shared user collections, but perhaps it should be advertised somewhere in the front page (maybe in the "Help shape the future of SM" section), encouraging users to follow the 20-rules.

Consider copying the format for the way Anki shares: search bar for collections, and arrangement by rank, votes, popularity, date, software version compatibility, etc.

If this is done, I would learn how to convert Anki decks to SM and start publishing the most popular ones.

Comment from a SuperMemo user:

I believe only medical students would find deck-sharing helpful and can potentially benefit from it. Knowledge building is highly personalized and depend highly on prior knowledge.

Besides, it is against "Effective learning: Twenty rules of formulating knowledge", being #1: Do not learn if you do not understand and #2 Learn before you memorize. Doing a bunch of random flashcards is meaningless if you can’t and don’t connect it to a larger context.

Also, as far as I know, Anki doesn’t really encourage the use of shared deck, both in the manual / Anki manual and in the subreddit community.
