Strange behavior of an image component

I have an image component that behaves very strangely. I cannot trim the picture (it shows some error message). I cannot save the picture (this option shows not message, as if not working at all). Other options suggest the picture is empty (while it clearly shows on the screen). What's up?

It looks like a transparent picture is covering the picture you are trying access. Most of image options do not work on empty pictures or display an error message. To be sure, press Ctrl+Shift+O to see the list of all components. You can also use Ctrl+T to jump from component to component, and when the empty picture is selected, just delete it to solve your problem.
