Answer:

Qtek 9000 (http://www.palmtops.com.pl/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=426) uses Windows Mobile 5.0 and resolution 480x640. With portrait screen setting you should be able to use SMCE (models tested: Q9100 and 8900).

If you still have problems, you could try to reset the device back to the factory settings. It is possible you are using a non-standard graphic mode.

Follow up:

Resetting the device did not help, only the "portrait" option.
