'Rapid Serial Visual Presentation' (RSVP) module

I would highly support this feature in SuperMemo. I think it would fit perfectly to the thought of processing text passages via incremental reading, since it speeds up the learning process and allows you to process larger amounts of text in a shorter period of time. It shouldn't be too hard to implement, since the "Set reading point"-option already exists.

It is quite uneffective to use external RSVP-program together with SuperMemo, since you have to re-find the passage in the text, when you find an interesting part in the article you are reading external via RSVP, which slows down the learning process.

This user checked out RSVP and really didn't like it. RSVP seems to be solely focused on getting through a passage as fast as an individual brain can handle (probably a function of processing speed "Qs" in IQ terminology). Reading sometimes requires re-reading with other words present in order to understand, like "chewing on" a passage

RSVP encourages asemantic reading. Efficient reading is based on pattern recognition. RSVP nullifies the involvement of neural networks in the acceleration of semantic processing of texts. SuperMemo World adamantly refuses implementation of tools that could encourage unhealthy learning practices. The speed is important, but quality of learning, in this case, cannot be compromised.
